The Guangzhou red silk-cotton trees (red kapok trees) train ushers in spring!
As the aphorism goes: "Red silk-cotton (red kapok) flowers look like coral, when these beautiful flowers bloom, they are more brilliant than the morning glow", for the Guangzhou people, spring is incomplete without kapok.
In March, Guangzhou's half sky has been dyed red by the blooming kapok flowers. Now, walking on the streets of Guangzhou, kapok flowers can be seen blooming, which look like rosy clouds over the sky. When the kapok is in full bloom, they are red but not tacky; when they wither and fall, the flowers remain red but not depressed, showing a unique painting of Lingnan.
At the Liede Bridge South Station of Guangzhou Haizhu Tram, while walking along the revolving stairs to the bridge, you can look down the tram and red kapok flowers. You can also appreciate charming kapok flowers blooming on the branches to make this spring green and vibrant. In the sun, when the tram passes under the red kapok, the scene becomes romantic and dreamy as if entering the 2-D world.
