Look for customs and have a taste of Chinese Lunar New Year. A series of activities of "celebrating intangible cultural heritage through the Spring Festival" kicked off at the Guangdong Cultural Center. The Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Market sponsored the recently-launched activities, including a goods fair.
The fair brought together the intangible cultural heritage from Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, and other places in Guangdong. It had 30 stalls for intangible cultural heritage food, new year handicrafts, and cultural products, offering a variety of new year goods to visitors.
Delicious food and wine, fish bag, candied winter melon, Hakka noodles, Dongguan sausage, and Shunde red liquor were a hit at the event. Besides, handicrafts exhibitions including Guangzhou jade carving, Cantonese embroidery, and Foshan colorful lanterns won the hearts of many.
From January 24 (the third day of the Chinese Lunar New Year) to January 28 (the seventh day of the Chinese Lunar New Year), many intangible cultural heritage experience classes will be held at the Guangdong Cultural Center. You can register now if you are interested!
