#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong Commonly referred to as the “forests of the sea” and the “guardians of the ocean”, mangroves are a type of woody plant rooted in coastal intertidal zones. They not only build a wind barrier and purify the seawater but also provide habitats for fish, shrimp, and birds.
The Guangdong Zhanjiang Mangrove National Nature Reserve has the largest and most concentrated distribution area of mangroves in China. Over the past 20 years, nearly 1,500 hectares of mangroves have been planted in Zhanjiang, providing a wider living space for many creatures. Surveys show that the number of bird species in Zhanjiang has increased from 194 in 2002 to 312 this year, and more creatures are choosing the mangroves in Zhanjiang. #SpringTrain
