Du Fu, a famous poet of the Tang Dynasty, is crowned as the Greatest poet, enjoying a high reputation in the history of Chinese literature. By deeply exploring contemporary cultural values, this play aims to carry forward the Chinese national spirit and modern ethos through historical stories.

5月9日，秦腔历史剧《诗圣杜甫》亮相广州蓓蕾剧院，参加第31届中国戏剧梅花奖现场竞演（终评）。杜甫是中国唐朝著名诗人，被尊称为“诗圣”，在中国文学史上享有盛名。该剧目深入开掘杜甫的当代文化价值，以历史故事弘扬民族精神和时代精神。
