2月28日（正月十九），汕头市澄海区溪南镇南砂乡举办一年一度的传统民俗活动——南砂“营灯”。这一民俗活动每年正月十九举行。当晚，村民纷纷提着各自姓氏的灯笼，从傍晚开始，穿行在狭长弯曲的村巷，祈求风调雨顺，五谷风登、合众平安。
