珠海原创歌剧《侨批》登陆东莞

Art and Culture | On the evening of 15 May, the opera "Qiaopi" tour landed in #Dongguan. The performance was met with #applause and received a warm welcome from the audience. The play is centered on a Qiaopi, setting up characters and giving symbolic meaning to the  "Qiaopi". According to the introduction,  "Qiaopi" is a letter home, a bandars note, a link between hometown and faraway places, and also a symbol of commitment and trust. A  "Qiaopi" signed by a hundred people embodies the transmission of love from overseas #Chinese and shows the suffering, nostalgia, and #patriotic spirit of Chinese laborers. Their acts of kindness and righteousness also demonstrated the spirit of the Chinese nation of honoring and keeping promises. #artandculture

一纸侨批情，家国赤子心。5月15日晚，“歌剧《侨批》·中国侨乡”万里行巡演活动登陆东莞，演出中，掌声此起彼伏。该剧通过以一封侨批为核心，设置人物，赋予“侨批”象征意蕴。据介绍，“侨批”是家书，是银信，是连接家乡与远隔万里他乡的纽带，是承诺、信义的象征。一封百人签名的“侨批”涌现出海外华侨爱的传递，展现了华工的苦难、乡愁与家国情怀，他们的善举、义举也表现了中华民族讲信誉、守承诺的精神。
